I never thought IRC mad skillz would come in handy at work...

Today I was on a conference presentation (split online and phone) when the phone lines filled up. The internet was full of people who couldn't get on the phone.

So after a couple minutes of people trying to 3 way call other people in, I just started typing. And kept up a running closed caption / summary through the whole thing.

Many, many misphellings and tyepos later the meeting was done.

I never thought those l33t IRC typing habits would be helpful for something at work.
