Linked In finally fixed the groups directory -- it is searchable.

Of course, you will probably find 13 different versions of anything you want to join, because it wasn't working for so long. And then you will find that there's a max number of groups you can join. And that there doesn't appear to be a way to leave a group after you've been accepted....
