Why Dynamic Sites Can Be Scary

So... you own a petfood company.

You make dog treats. For wal-mart.

Oops, you use allegedly contaminated wheat gluten.

You recall them.

You put the list on your website.

You forget to up your mysql (default is, if I remember correctly, 100) connection limit.

Your site crashes and burns.

This wouldn't happen if you anticipate this and put up a static landing page, ala CNN 9/1/1, until your crisis is over...
