Email: FIFO or LIFO?

I have too many emails that need a reply.

As always I'm stuck with the eternal question: Last In First Out or First In Last Out? It was a lot easier in B school-- bananas are FIFO, gold bullion is LIFO.

The better answer would be to have managed my email better so I didn't have to triage them and sort them at all.
