I think it's a way of aging people.
If you Rock the Casbah, you probably don't Rock Around the Clock....
I agree somewhat about the aging, but it doesn't account for taste... I myself am probably rockin' in the free world (but only if it's the live version, with Eddie V & the gang). However, the casbah was ubiquitous during my formative years, so maybe I have to say that (except I never liked the song)? Additionally, I can appreciate around the clock as the classic that it is...
Damn you anyway :) Now I'm going to think about this all day to try to find a better answer.
It's 2:39 p.m. here. Not only have I not done a damn thing all day, I still haven't come up with a better place to rock tonight. #*%$!!@%
