Amazon Adds 1-800!

As part of the recent redesign, Amazon appears to have done something people have wanted for years....


Added a published 1-800 number. And made it (relatively) easy to find.

No longer do you have to google "amazon 1-800 number" in order to call and talk to a human. Now the number is on the website!

Of course, when I called it today about a book that was delayed again (twice now), the person I spoke to didn't appear to understand English.... I had to call back again to get my order actually cancelled.

However, both my calls resulted in an auto email survey to me... and my negative review of the first one actually resulted in an non-form email back.

So, hallelujah, Amazon's trying. Let's see if they keep it up....
