Job: PBS: Analytics (Ripped from a yahoo newsgroup)

Hey everybody:The Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) is looking for an intensely curious Web Analyst with excellent problem-solving skills and a proven track record of delivering complete and accurate Web traffic analysis. Experience with a Web analytics software package such as Visual Sciences, WebTrends, WebSideStory and Omniture is a must.Responsibilities - Define KPIs based on business objectives and report on progress toward those objectives - Analyze site performance and trends- Recognize, troubleshoot and correct data problems and inconsistencies- Create dashboards and reports within site analytics reporting system- Serve as a measurements expert identifying reporting requirements, implementing report implementation and evaluating post-launch metrics - Research industry best practices and define strategy for analytical tool upgrades Requirements - Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate insights into clear recommendations - Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel- Knowledge of Web Analytics tools (Visual Sciences, Webtrends, Clicktracks, SAS, SPSS, and /or Google Analytics)- Excellent project management skillsWork experience:3+ years performing metrics-based business analysis in support of management decision-making or; 3+ years of marketing-related statistical analysis and reporting or; 2+ years analyzing and reporting on Web traffic for a large-scale content company.Job is located in Arlington, Va.If you're interested in applying, please send your resume and salary history todswillis [at] pbs [dot] org.
