This position will perform ongoing creative design, development and supportfor Austin Energy's Web sites.
Primary Tasks* Design, develop and maintain templates for corporate Web sites, portals,e-mail marketing and content management tools* Provide user support for corporate Web/Portal sites and applications* Produce html mock-ups that support information architecture, user goalsand client and company design standards; mock-ups and associated stylesheets to be used as a blueprint for development* Articulate design concepts and prototypes, with the ability to define the"vision" for a project in a variety of ways (written, visually and verbally)* Research, develop and manage design standards, guides, documentation, andspecifications* Create multi-media elements to support site design* Research and understand new web/portal technologies
Requirements and Experience* Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Science OR a related disciplineplus two years of related experience. Any combination of education and/orwork experience will substitute for minimum qualifications.* Expert skill level in HTML, CSS, Dreamweaver and Photoshop* Demonstrated experience applying Flash and Illustrator* Demonstrated experience with audio and video technology* Demonstrated experience integrating into a formal Systems Development LifeCycle and closely working with Analysts and Programmers* Demonstrated experience coding Cold Fusion, DHTML, JavaScript, XML, AJAX* Demonstrated experience designing for the limits and constraints of designfor the Web and across different browsers* Presentation of a professional portfolio of work that demonstrates processand design, and shows a commanding knowledge of user-centered designprojects* Working knowledge of Section 508 requirements (Americans with DisabilitiesAct) and W3C Standards and experience applying them to designs* Ability to interpret functional requirements documents: use cases, userflows, wireframes* Working knowledge of content management and portal technology* Working knowledge of Java, JSP and ASP a plus* Working knowledge of integrating Web/Portal sites with back end databases(Oracle and Access) a plus
