ASSISTANT INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DIRECTOR PAY RANGE OF $7,435 - $10,488 PER MONTH
DEPARTMENT: INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
Duties include managing the daily activities and technical operation of IT employees; establishing standardization on all computer and electronic devices; evaluating new technologies for use within the City’s Information Systems; managing the telecommunication system; providing guidance for systems design and application development; ensuring operations and reliability of all devices in a converged network; and providing disaster recovery planning and business continuity. Duties also include planning IT services and projects with other departments and agencies; assigning and monitoring projects and work efforts within the department; and assisting in the preparation of department’s budget. Duties will require ability to adhere to strict deadlines working in a fast-paced, multi-task environment. Five years of networking experience, as well as two years supervisory experience, and a Bachelor’s degree, or additional experience comparable to degree, in a computer science discipline are required. One or more of the following certifications is strongly desired: Project Management, Microsoft, Cisco, Nortel, and / or Security. Hours may include evenings and weekends.

NETWORK SYSTEMS MANAGER PAY RANGE OF $6,423 - $9,060 PER MONTH
DEPARTMENT: INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
Duties include managing, monitoring and maintaining the Network Systems Division of the IT Department; ensuring the functional operation of network infrastructure / resources; assessing division needs, focusing on resources, and managing network projects; evaluating new technologies and making recommendations with the IT systems; establishing standardization on all networking equipment; managing and implementing the telecommunication system; managing operations and reliability of all networking devices in a converged network; providing network disaster recovery planning; implementing policies and procedures related to Network Infrastructure; assigning and monitoring projects and work efforts within the division; and assisting in the preparation of the division’s budget. Duties will require ability to adhere to strict deadlines working in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.
